Man dies following Waterford airplane crash

The plane crash landed earlier this afternoon.

A MAN has died following a light airplane crash in Waterford this afternoon.

The aircraft crash-landed in the Knocknagranagh area close to the N25 earlier today at around 4.45pm.

A man was removed from the aircraft where he was described as being in a critical condition. He was pronounced dead a short while later.

Diversions were put in place.

The Air Accident Investigation Unit has also been notified and will be conducting an looking into the incident.
